Katherine “Kay” Evelyn discovered her passion for the nail industry at a young age, inspired by her love for the creative arts. Drawing, painting, and tracing quickly became her favorite pastimes, sparking a lifelong interest in design and creativity.

Her entrepreneurial spirit was fueled by watching her mother successfully run a beauty business from home. In 2001, Kay began her professional journey in the nail industry. She honed her skills at the Long Island Nail & Skin Care Institute and graduated from the Nail Academy in 2004. There, she mastered essential techniques such as nail structure, filing, shaping, and building the foundation for acrylic nails.

Kay’s dedication to her craft and attention to detail have earned her a loyal following on social media, where she is known as “Mskreativekay.” Her bold designs, innovative techniques, and commitment to professionalism have set her apart in the industry.

Her work has been featured in notable publications such as Vibe Vixen, Ebony Style (recognized as one of the 2012 Top 30 Nail Artists), Vogue Italia, and Banana Republic. Kay has also collaborated with prominent brands like Sephora and worked with celebrity clients, including Cynthia Bailey (The Real Housewives of Atlanta), Kimbella (Love and Hip Hop), and world-renowned model Chanel Iman.

In addition to her impressive portfolio, Kay has shared her expertise as a guest speaker at the University of Virginia, and FIT where she detailed her craft and journey. For Kay, nails are more than a career—they’re a passion she is thrilled to share with the world.
