Katherine “Katie” Evelyn knew she wanted a career in the nail industry after falling in love with the creative arts from a young age. Drawing, painting, and tracing became her favorite past-time.
Her desire to become an entrepreneur stemmed fromwatching her mother run a successful beauty business from the comfort of her own home.
Katie began her professional journey in the nail industry in 2001. She studied the art of nails at the Long Island Nail & Skin Care Institute and graduated from the Nail Academy in 2004.
She mastered the structure of the nail including filing, shaping and the overall foundation of acrylic. 
Katie’s dedication to the industry has allowed her to gain a large and loyal following on various social media platforms.She earned the name “Mskreativekay” for her attention to detail, bold design and stylish technique. She prides herself on professionalism and work ethic.
Katie’s work has been featured in Vibe Vixen magazine, Ebony Style (2012 Top 30 Nails Artists), Vogue Italia, Banana Republic, Stevie Boi plus more. Some of her clients include Cynthia Bailey of “Housewives of Atlanta”, Kimbella of “Love and Hip Hop” and world renowned model Chanel Iman. She has worked for industry goliath, Sephora and been a guest speaker at the University of Virginia detailing her craft.
For Katie, nails are a passion and she is delighted to share that passion with the world.
