Q: Why do I have to pay a deposit?
A: Appointments are essential to my business. Unfortunately, appointments are sometimes canceled or result in no-shows. A deposit helps ensure accountability, secures your appointment, and places value on both your time and mine.
Q: What is your deposit and payment policy? Are deposits refundable?
A:
A 50% deposit is required for all services. This deposit is non-refundable, non-negotiable, and non-transferable, but it will be applied to your final balance.
All deposits and payments are final; no refunds will be issued once services are rendered.
While deposits are non-refundable, we understand that emergencies may occur. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 24 hours before your appointment. You are allowed one reschedule per deposit.
Q: How long does an appointment take?
A: Our goal is to provide high-quality services and a VIP experience. Appointments typically take 2-4 hours, but this can vary depending on the service you select.
Q: Is there a grace period for lateness? If so, what is the grace period?
A: Yes, we allow a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals. After 10 minutes, the appointment may be canceled, or we may still accommodate the service, but you will be charged the full price, and your deposit will be forfeited. If you’re running late, please call 516-724-5067 before your appointment.
Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
A:
- Appointment Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation 72 hours prior to your appointment, followed by a reminder 24 hours before.
Cancellations (Before 24 Hours): If you need to cancel, please be aware that your deposit is non-refundable. However, we can assist with rescheduling if you contact the studio at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Cancellations must be made by contacting the salon directly.
Cancellations Within 24 Hours: Cancellations within 24 hours will result in the forfeiture of your deposit, and 50% of the service cost will be charged to the card on file.
Rescheduling Policy: You are allowed one reschedule per deposit with at least 24 hours’ notice. Please contact the salon directly to reschedule.
Q: What happens when a No-call/No-show occurs on the day of the scheduled service?
A:
- No-Call/No-Show: No-show appointments will result in a 100% charge of the service cost to the card on file. If the card on file declines and isn’t updated, future bookings will be restricted until the outstanding balance is paid.
Q: What if I change my service at the last minute?
A: If you change your service at the last minute without prior notice, the original booked service price will still apply.
Q: What happens if I need removal of previous work?
A:
- We do not work on nails done by other technicians. Please arrive with natural nails or book a soak-off add-on in advance if removal is required.
- If removal is needed but not booked in advance, your appointment will be canceled.
Q: What happens if my nails are damaged or require repairs?
A:
- Please do not rip or tear off acrylic/gel, as it can damage your nail health. If your nails have any damage, open wounds, nicks, or similar issues, service cannot be provided. Services will not be performed on open wounds or damaged nail beds. Your appointment will be canceled, and you will be charged for the booked service, with the deposit being forfeited. Rescheduling is at your discretion.
- Repair requests must be made within 24 hours of your service. After this time, repairs will be subject to a fee.
Q: What is your guest and safety policy?

- Children: Children are allowed in the studio.
- No Extra Guests or Food: No extra guests or food are permitted in the studio. Failure to comply will result in the cancellation of your appointment.
Q: What are your COVID-19 safety measures?
A:
- Masks: Masks are optional but may be required based on changing health guidelines.
- Handwashing: Please wash your hands thoroughly upon entering the studio.
- Rescheduling or Cancellations: Please reschedule if you:
- Have flu-like symptoms.
- Have been exposed to COVID-19.
- Have tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
- Disclaimer: Deposits are only transferable for rescheduling in the event of illness.
Q: Is there a Client Acknowledgment & Agreement?
A: Yes, by booking an appointment, you acknowledge that:
- The Nail Studio by Mskreativekay Inc. has Terms & Policies, Client Intake, Liability Waiver, and COVID-19 safety questionnaire forms.
- All employees and nail technicians are professionally licensed and must be treated with respect.
- You understand that we are not responsible if the results of your nail services do not meet your expectations. All services are final upon completion.
Q: Do you have the right to refuse service?
A: Yes, we reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if a client’s behavior or condition poses a risk to staff or other clients.
